New arrival in the Sancho Lab!

We are delighted to welcome Sergio Pedraza into our lab, in his new role as a postdoctoral researcher! After 3 months of lockdown, Sergio has finally touched down in London, after completing his PhD at the Maimonides Biomedical Research Institute of Cordoba, Spain, earlier this year.

During his PhD, he investigated new biomarkers and therapeutic targets for endocrine-related tumours, with special interest in somatostatin axis and splicing machinery. His research in the Sancho Lab will focus on the importance of the environment during β-cell differentiation.
